Community Nurses (Tel: 0300 300 7777)

District Nurses provide skilled nursing care to patients in their own home and help with the following:

  • Assessment of health needs
  • Advice and care of the acutely, chronically and terminally ill
  • Advice on continence and aids to daily living

Hours of work:

8.30am to 5.00pm Monday – Thursday
8.30am to 4.30pm Friday

The district nursing team are also on call during the weekend and bank holidays.

Health Visitor (Tel: 01509 410 232)

The Health Visitor is available for health advice to patients of all ages, specialising in pre-school children and the family.

Available Monday to Thursday between 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Telephone 01509 410232

School Nurses (Tel: 01509 410 217)

The School Nurses work within local schools, promoting health and caring for school children.

Available for help, advice and support on 01509 410217.

Community Midwives (Tel: 01162 58 4834)

Community Midwives give care from conception until the baby is 28 days old, advising mothers on choice of delivery and breast feeding.

They give ante-natal care and Parentcraft education.
