Barrow Health Centre is centrally situated in the village of Barrow Upon Soar.

We have a large car park for patient use and a pharmacy close by.

We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of medical services.

At Barrow Health Cente we operate a triage system for patients who need to speak to a clinican.

You may be offered:

A pre-bookable appointment for routine problems (usually within two weeks). Our pre-bookable appointments can be booked on the telephone, online or at the reception desk.

An appointment in our extended access clinic on a Saturday or Sunday at Charnwood Surgery in Mountsorrel. Extended access appointments can be booked on the telephone or online.

Alternatively if you need an on the day appointment our phone lines open at 8am and appointments can be requested by calling

01509 274430.

If you are unable to telephone the surgery you can submit an e-consult via our website where it states contact us online and submit a new request.

E-consults are monitored daily and a response wil be received within 72 hours. Please do not use e-consults for urgent problems.

If a medical problem cannot be dealt with remotely, you will be offered a face to face appointment (usually on same day). We therefore ask that you only call for an appointment if you are available to attend the surgery on the same day if required.

As a GP training practice, we may ask if you are happy for a medical student to be present during your appointment or if you can be seen by a medical student in the first insatnce and reviewed by a Doctor following the students assessment.
